Clyde

Clyde is a mostly rural town that sits between Waynesville and Canton. Clyde is home to several of the Haywood County's most interesting historic places. It presents a large number of the county's quilt blocks on the Haywood County Quilt Trails, an initiative that features quilt patterns throughout the county. Clyde is home to The Shook Museum – Located in the Shook-Smathers House, named the “oldest frame house west of the Blue Ridge” by Preservation North Carolina, this unique 200-year-old historic house is open to the public for tours. Ferguson’s Trout Farm – A fully stocked catch and release pond, both beginners and experts can test their skills with the support and instruction of trained fisherman nearby.
